The difference between large-flowered Huilan and black orchid

1. Different leaves

Cymbidium orchid has 4-6 leaves, which is a large number, but each leaf is small, about 35-60cm long, about 1.4-2.3cm wide, and emerald green in color.

The leaves of Mo Lan are leathery and relatively few in number, with 4-5 leaves. A single leaf is larger than the former, about 45-80cm in length and 2 to 3cm in width. The leaves of these two plants can be distinguished by placing them together and overlapping them. The color of its leaves is relatively dark, showing a dark green color.

2. Different flowers

The former blooms in autumn and winter, with a large number of flowers. The petals are narrow, round, oblanceolate, and relatively large.

The flowers of the latter bloom in spring and sometimes in autumn. The number of flowers of Mo Lan is less than that of the former, and the flowers are smaller and pointed.

3. Different pseudobulbs

The pseudobulb of the former is very large, about 3-8cm long and 1.5-3cm wide, and is spherical in shape.

The pseudobulb of the latter is smaller and oval in shape. This difference can only be determined by digging out the plant, but it is difficult to judge from the appearance.
