1. Differences between bulbsThe pseudobulb of Cymbidium is relatively large, narrow ovoid in shape, about 2-4 cm long and 1-1.5 cm wide, and is wrapped inside the base of the leaves. Jianlan is quite similar to the former, both are a type of orchid, but its pseudobulb is relatively small, ovoid in shape, relatively round, about 1.5-2.5 cm in length, and about 1-1.5 cm in width. If you look closely, you can distinguish them from this aspect, but it is difficult to distinguish them in the seedling stage. 2. Leaf DifferenceThe leaf stem of the Cymbidium is relatively high and upright. Its leaves are leathery in texture and feel relatively thin when touched. The tip of the leaves is a bit pointed and looks relatively smooth. The color of the leaves is relatively dark, showing a dark green color. If you look closely, you can see that the secondary veins on the leaves are quite obvious. The leaf stems of Jianlan are slightly shorter and not as tall as the former, so the two orchids can be distinguished by putting them together. Its leaves are fleshy and relatively thick, and the tips of the leaves are mostly blunt, not as sharp as the former leaves. The leaves are lighter in color and more pure in color. |
