Cosmos is a kind of flower of the genus Cosmos, also known as Cosmos, Cosmos, etc. It is an annual or perennial herb, about 1-2 meters in height, and the plant shape is relatively tall.

Marigold is also a kind of flower belonging to the Asteraceae family, but it is different from the former. It is an annual plant of the genus Tagetes, also known as honeycomb chrysanthemum, stinking chrysanthemum, stinking hibiscus, longevity lamp, etc. It is relatively short, with a height of about 50-150 cm. The stem is very upright and thick, with longitudinal ridges on it.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of Cosmos are deeply pinnately divided into two parts, with many lobes on the leaves, and the shapes of the lobes are linear or filamentous.

The leaves of marigold are pinnately divided, with smaller lobes, oblong or lanceolate in shape, and have sharp serrations on the edges.

3. Different flowers

The tongue on the flower of the former is about 2-3 cm long and 1.2-1.8 cm wide. The flowers come in a variety of colors, including pink, white, purple, etc.

The latter is a solitary capitulate inflorescence with ligulate flowers that are yellow or dark orange in color. The ligules above are obovate and about 1.4 cm long.
