The leaves of marigold are pinnately divided, with smaller lobes, oblong or lanceolate in shape, and have sharp serrations on the edges.

3. Different flowers

The tongue on the flower of the former is about 2-3 cm long and 1.2-1.8 cm wide. The flowers come in a variety of colors, including pink, white, purple, etc.

The latter is a solitary capitulate inflorescence with ligulate flowers that are yellow or dark orange in color. The ligules above are obovate and about 1.4 cm long.
