The difference between peach and oleander

1. Different plant types

The peach tree is a relatively tall tree, about 3-8 meters in height, with a broad and very flat crown. The outer bark is dark reddish brown, and the small branches are very slender, smooth and hairless.

Oleander is an evergreen upright large shrub that is relatively short in height, growing up to about 5 meters, and the branches are gray-green.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of the former are oblong-lanceolate, shorter, about 7-15 cm long, and have no hairs on the leaves.

The leaves of the latter are narrow lanceolate and relatively long, about 11-15 cm. The back of the leaves has a little hair when they are young, which falls off when they are old.

3. Different flowers and fruits

The flowers of the peach tree are semi-double or double, with many shapes. The petals are oblong-oval, pink in color, and white is relatively rare. It produces edible fruits that are juicy and fragrant.

The flowers of oleander are single or double, funnel-shaped, with petals in dark red or pink, and white varieties have also been cultivated. It generally does not produce fruit, and even if it does, the fruit is inedible capsules.
