Cultivation methods and precautions of beauty cherry

Cultivation methods and precautions of beauty cherry

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: The beauty cherry is very cold-resistant and has strong adaptability. It can grow normally at 5~25℃. The most suitable temperature for it is 15℃, and it can survive in temperatures as low as minus five degrees Celsius.

2. Water: It is extremely sensitive to water. It is very afraid of drought and waterlogging, so the soil should be kept slightly moist but without any waterlogging.

3. Soil: The soil requirements of the beauty cherry are relatively high. It is best to have a slightly acidic and fertile soil. Use loose and well-drained sandy soil and add some culture soil to mix.

4. Light: It has very high requirements for light. It needs sufficient sunlight from seedling to flowering. The more sunlight it gets, the more flowers it will bloom and the more beautiful they will be.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Cutting: It can be carried out when the temperature is around 15℃. Cut a section of new shoots that have begun to harden, about six centimeters. Plant the cuttings in the sandy soil in the greenhouse, then start to shade them. After three days, expose them to sunlight. New roots will grow in about half a month.

2. Summer: The high temperature in summer will have an adverse effect on its growth. It will stop growing when it exceeds 30℃, so pay attention to cooling down in summer.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Perforating brown spot disease: When the disease occurs, there will be many purple-brown spots on the leaves, which will gradually expand. In severe cases, the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. If the disease is found, spray with Bordeaux liquid in time for prevention and control.

2. Leaf blight: It usually occurs in summer. When the disease occurs, yellow-green circular spots will appear on the leaves, slowly turning into brown spots, and the diseased leaves will not fall off after they die. The diseased leaves should be removed and destroyed promptly, and sprayed with mancozeb for prevention and control.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be given as a gift: Its flower language means "staying together" and "family harmony". It is also an ornamental plant with beautiful flowers, so it is very suitable to be given as a gift to others.

2. Can it be grown at home: As an ornamental plant, it is very suitable for growing at home. Normally, you can place it on the balcony, but move it to a place with weaker light intensity under the scorching sun in summer.
