Acacia cultivation methods and precautions

Acacia cultivation methods and precautions

1. Maintenance methods

1. Water: Acacia needs more water during the growing period, so watering it once a day is enough. You should water it more often during the growing season, and in winter, you can increase the intervals.

2. Soil: It likes to grow in fertile, breathable and loose soil, and the soil should also be rich in humus, preferably acidic.

3. Temperature: The suitable temperature is around 18-35℃, and the temperature cannot be lower than 4℃. Try to move it indoors in winter, otherwise it will be frozen to death.

4. Light: It likes to receive sunlight, so put it in a sunny place, which is conducive to its growth. In summer, you need to temporarily move it to a cooler place to avoid being exposed to the scorching sun.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Sowing can be done in spring and autumn. Soak the seeds in 60-80 degree hot water before sowing. After keeping warm and moist for seven days, place the seeds evenly and cover them with soil. They will sprout after five days.

2. Pruning: In order to maintain the beautiful shape of the potted plant, keep the newly emerged buds and branches. Dense branches and leaves should be pruned to give the tree a fuller shape.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Anthracnose: After the disease occurs, light brown spots will appear on the branches and trunks, and will gradually spread. Once discovered, it should be cut off as soon as possible and sprayed with fungicides such as mancozeb and anthracnose thiramisu in time.

2. Damping-off disease: After the disease occurs, Bordeaux mixture or fungicides such as dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane should be used alternately for spraying, and the diseased leaves should be pulled out in time and burned quickly.

IV. Other issues

1. Is it toxic? Acacia is not toxic, but try not to eat it. You can rest assured when raising it.

2. Can it be planted at home: Acacia can be planted at home. The selected planting location must have good lighting conditions. Darkness will affect its growth.
