How to take care of the newly bought fortune tree

How to take care of the newly bought fortune tree

1. Moderate light

A newly purchased money tree is often placed in a dark environment during transportation, so it does not get enough light, affecting its growth. So after buying it, you should put it in a sunny place first to allow it to receive sufficient light, but you should provide shade in time at noon.

2. Increase the temperature

In order to facilitate the storage of money trees, many businesses often place them in a low-temperature environment to hibernate. After buying it, you need to let it resume growth, and then you need to increase the temperature. You can place the plant in a warm place indoors. If the room temperature is not high, you can wrap it with plastic film to keep it warm.

3. Proper watering

Due to changes in the growing environment, the money tree you buy needs to go through a seedling acclimatization period. But before that, water it thoroughly so that its roots have enough water to absorb. Water less during the seedling acclimatization period and keep it appropriately dry to allow it to adapt to the new environment.

4. Control fertilizer

The soil of a newly purchased money tree often has little fertility. Such long-term lack of fertilizer is not good and is not conducive to its growth. You can apply a little nitrogen fertilizer to the seedlings to make them grow stronger. Adult plants can be fertilized with compound fertilizer to supplement balanced nutrition.
