How to make the leaves of the pennywort bigger and greener (make the pennywort grow thicker and bigger)

How to make the leaves of the pennywort bigger and greener (make the pennywort grow thicker and bigger)

Whether you place some rhizomes in the soil, water, or a fish tank, they will grow abundantly and luxuriantly, forming a large green area.

Some leaves are very small, there are many old leaves, and there are many yellow leaves. The condition is not very good, and the color is not full and green enough.

The temperature is getting higher and higher soon, which is very suitable for the growth of pennywort. It will grow more small leaves. So how can we make the pennywort grow greener and bigger?

First, planting materials:

It is recommended that you use layered soil for planting copper coin grass. Use two kinds of planting materials in the flowerpot for layered planting. The planting material at the bottom height of about 4/5 is mixed with garden soil + humus soil + freshwater river sand + fermented sheep dung balls in a ratio of 3:3:2:2.

Such mixed soil can provide nutrients to pennywort for a long time and is more fertilizer-retaining.

When planting, plant the pennywort on about 1/5 of the planting material in the upper part of the flowerpot. It is recommended to use freshwater river sand as the upper planting material. Plant the pennywort shallowly on the river sand to stabilize the plant, and then cover it with a thin layer of river sand. Note that the roots of the pennywort do not directly contact the nutrient soil.

Second, the maintenance environment:

Many people know about pennywort because they see it being cultivated in flower shops and flower gardens using hydroponics indoors. This leads to the misunderstanding that pennywort is a negative plant that can tolerate less light.

The copper coin grass likes light, and as long as the temperature is not higher than 28 degrees Celsius, it can be maintained in an environment with sufficient light. While seeing more light, you should often spray the leaves to increase the humidity of the environment.

Third, watering:

When planting the copper coin grass, the soil must not be wet, that is, it cannot be completely dry. When we water other plants, we always "don't water if it's not dry, and water it thoroughly if it's dry."

But watering the pennywort is different. The soil surface must not be allowed to dry out. However, there must be time for the soil to alternate between dry and wet to ventilate.

When watering the copper coin grass, as long as the color of the shallow surface soil becomes lighter, you can immediately spray to wet the shallow surface soil, and water it thoroughly in the evening of the same day. Do not let the flower soil dry out to a certain extent before adding water.

Fourth, fertilization:

It is recommended to use nitrogen-biased fertilizer for fertilizing the pennywort. The pennywort itself loves to bloom, but its flowers are not ornamental. Therefore, when fertilizing, it is necessary to ensure the output of the three elements of "nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium" and to be biased towards nitrogen.

Fertilization mainly promotes the growth of leaves and hidden buds. At the same time, a small amount of phosphorus and potassium is needed to balance the growth of the root system.

For organic fertilizers that are more nitrogen-based, you can use "bean cake fertilizer". You can soak the bean cake in a container for about a week, then filter out the residue directly, dilute the liquid with water in a ratio of about 1:3 and then pour it on the flower soil. Fertilization can be done once every half a month as long as the temperature is between 16 and 28 degrees Celsius.

Summarize

The nutrients must be kept up, and some "homemade fertilizer" should be poured, so that the pennywort can grow quickly. The "little pennywort" will grow rapidly, and the leaves will grow large, fat and green.
