How to grow Tangshan bamboo well

How to grow Tangshan bamboo well

1. Soil

Tangshan cloud bamboo has very high requirements for soil. Since it is very afraid of waterlogging and drought, the soil must be both drainable and water-retaining. Peat soil and perlite can be mixed in a ratio of about 4:1. Or you can use garden soil mixed with leaf mold, but do not use sandy soil to avoid water loss too quickly.

2. Light

Tangshan cloud bamboo grows best in an environment with plenty of light. Although it has a certain degree of shade tolerance, lack of light during the growing period will cause the branches to grow too long, affecting its appearance. In addition, the light is strong in summer, so it needs shade to prevent the leaves from being exposed to the sun and aging.

3. Watering

It is difficult to tell whether Tangshan Cloud Bamboo is lacking water by looking at its leaves. Therefore, you need to check the soil regularly and add water if the surface soil is dry. The amount of water should be properly controlled to avoid water accumulation in the basin. At the same time, do not water too much during the dormant period to avoid bacterial growth.

4. Fertilization

The growth of Tangshan cloud bamboo cannot be separated from sufficient nutrients, but the concentration of fertilizer should not be too high. Concentrated fertilizers can easily burn plants, so they should be diluted with water before application. Fertilizers are mainly nitrogen fertilizers, which can ensure the healthy growth of plants.
