The difference between woodruff and rose

The difference between woodruff and rose

1. Difference of blades

The leaflets of the woodruff flower usually have 3-5, rarely 7, which are elliptical-ovate or oblong-lanceolate, about 2-5 cm long and 8-18 mm wide, and the stipules are linear-lanceolate.

Rose flowers have 5-9 leaflets, which are oblong, obovate or ovate, about 1.5-5 cm long and 8-28 mm wide, and the stipules are comb-shaped.

2. The difference between flowers

The flowers of woodruff are in umbels with pedicels of 2-3 cm. The sepals are ovate and the petals are obovate, white in color, with a rounded tip and a wedge-shaped base.

Rose flowers are in paniculate inflorescences, with pedicels about 1.5-2.5 cm long, sepals are lanceolate, petals are broadly obovate, white or pink in color, slightly concave at the tip, and cuneate at the base.
