Lilies bloom in summer, usually starting in early July and ending in late July. However, the flowering period may vary depending on the variety and planting time. Among them, musk lily blooms in May and June, royal lily and Yunnan lily bloom in June and July, and white lily blooms in July and August.

2. How to promote flowering

1. Increase the light: Placing lilies in a dark place for a long time will not only prevent them from photosynthesis, but will also cause them to grow too tall. It needs to be moved to a sunny place, and can be placed indoors on a balcony or other place to receive light. If the light is too strong, you can provide adequate shade to avoid sunburn.

2. Proper watering: Lilies are afraid of waterlogging, so you must control the water appropriately in the early stage of flowering. Too much water will not only affect flowering, but can also cause the plant to die. Therefore, you must water less and keep the soil dry, which is more beneficial to its growth.

3. Supplement phosphorus fertilizer: Phosphorus is an important nutrient to promote flowering and fruiting of plants. Lack of phosphorus fertilizer will delay flowering. At this time, timely top dressing is needed, but do not apply only phosphorus fertilizer. Compound fertilizer is needed to supplement nutrition comprehensively.
