1. Brief Introduction

Truffle is an annual fungus of the genus Truffle in the family Truffleaceae. It likes to grow near the roots of many broad-leaved trees, such as oak and pine. It is usually distributed within 120-150cm from the tree trunk, and the fungus is mainly hidden underground at a depth of about 3-40cm. It has extremely high nutritional value and is also extremely difficult to cultivate.

2. Types

There are three main types that are more famous. One of them is white truffle, which is produced from October to December every year. It is very expensive and is known as "white gold". The second is the black winter truffle, which is produced from December to March and is also very expensive. It is known as the "black diamond". The third is the black summer truffle, which is mainly produced from May to September every year.

3. Price Introduction

Truffles are very expensive, and the larger they are, the higher the price. Taking black truffles as an example, the price of black truffles, which are 2-3cm long, is usually around 200 yuan per kilogram. The price for 3-5cm long ones is around 300 yuan per kilogram. The price of 4-6cm long ones is about 380 yuan per kilogram. The price of 5-7cm long ones is about 500 yuan per kilogram. Generally speaking, white truffles are 2-3 times more expensive than black truffles.
