1. Price

The price of any item is not fixed; it fluctuates around a point. The same is true for rapeseed. Its price has remained at around three yuan per catty, fluctuating around three yuan. However, in recent years, the price has rarely exceeded three yuan, and is generally between 2.7 and 2.9 yuan per catty.

2. Factors affecting prices

(1) Varieties: There are differences in rapeseed varieties. Generally speaking there are two main varieties. One is "winter rapeseed", which is planted at the end of September and harvested at the end of May. It is mainly distributed along the Yangtze River. The other is "spring rapeseed", which is planted at the end of April and harvested at the end of September. It is mainly distributed in the northeast and northwest. Different varieties have different prices. However, there is not much difference.

(2) Planting area and demand: The planting area affects the yield. Output can be combined with demand to influence prices. We are all very familiar with this effect. For example, if the supply is insufficient to meet the demand, the price will be high. If there is a situation where supply exceeds demand, then the price will be low.

(3) Region: The average price of rapeseed varies in different regions. For example, during the same period, the price in Hubei was 2.72 yuan per catty, while the price in Sichuan was 2.92 yuan per catty.

There are many factors that affect its price, and only by considering them comprehensively can we judge the trend of rapeseed prices.
