When does osmanthus bloom?

1. Which month is the flowering period?

Osmanthus flowers bloom in autumn, which we are all familiar with. Mainly concentrated in September and October. The common varieties are in September. There is a later variety called "Dangui", which usually blooms around October. There is another special variety that deserves to be mentioned separately, it is called "Four Seasons Osmanthus". Just by hearing the name we can roughly guess that it can bloom all year round. However, compared to other varieties, its flowers are few in number.

2. Maintenance during flowering period

(1) Placement: During the flowering stage, it needs to be placed in a sunny and warm place, such as a balcony.

(2) Watering: There must be sufficient water to meet the needs of flower growth. Generally speaking, watering is required every two to three days. The best time to water is in the morning or evening. But no water accumulation. When it rains, don't let it get wet.

(3) Fertilization: Increasing the supply of nutrients is conducive to its flowering. Nitrogen fertilizer is needed before, but phosphorus fertilizer is mainly used during the flowering period. It is best to loosen the soil before fertilizing so that nutrients can be better absorbed by the roots. After using fertilizer, water the plants the next day.

(4) Pruning: Pruning is necessary to make the flowers grow better and look better. Cut off those that are too dense or diseased, so that nutrients can be concentrated on the flowers and they will grow well.
