1. Difference of blades

The leaves of Ficus microcarpa are broadly obovate, broadly round-headed, about 1.5-5 cm long, and leathery. Its leaves are dark green on the top, light yellow on the back, and have dark glands on the edges.

The leaves of the banyan tree are narrow oval in shape, wider than the former, about 4-8 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, and thinly leathery. Its leaves are dark green in color, turning dark brown and shiny when dry.

2. The difference between fruits

The inflorescence of Ficus microcarpa is spherical at first, and becomes pear-shaped later. It is yellow or slightly red when mature.

Banyan fruit grows in pairs in the axillaries or in the axils of fallen branches. It is oblate and its color is the same as the former when ripe, which is yellow or slightly red.
