Reasons why Monstera leaves droop

Reasons why Monstera leaves droop

1. Too much water causes root rot

Reason: When watering Monstera, you must water it reasonably. Too much water will cause the roots to rot and the leaves will droop. When watering it, don't just look at the soil surface. If the surface is dry, it doesn't mean that the bottom is dry too.

Rescue method: The best way is to dig it out, trim the rotten roots and then repot it with new soil. When watering, water thoroughly when the soil is dry, and do not water too frequently.

2. Reasons for floor heating

Reason: In winter, people will move it indoors, and some rooms have floor heating. In this case, if you put it directly on the ground, it would be like being in a sauna all day long. It will definitely cause adverse symptoms, the most common of which is drooping leaves.

Rescue method: You should put something on the ground, raise it up and keep it for a while, and spray it with water appropriately to keep it moist. After a few days of cultivation, its leaves will slowly recover.

3. Dark environment

Reason: Monstera needs light when it is grown. If it is grown in a dark place indoors for a long time, its leaves will become very soft and droop.

Rescue method: Move it to a place with sunlight, receive an appropriate amount of light every day, and increase the ventilation of the breeding environment. Air circulation also helps the leaves recover.
