2. Get more sun

Desert rose likes to bask in the sun and is best placed on a south balcony or south windowsill. If there is insufficient light, the plant will become weak and affect flowering. If the Desert Rose has already bloomed, providing proper shade will make the flowers darker in color and extend the flowering time of a single flower.

3. Be careful when watering

When Desert Rose is in the seedling stage, its root system is relatively weak, so the soil in the pot must be kept moist at this time; after it grows into a large seedling, it is necessary to wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering it, usually in the morning or evening, and in winter you can choose to water it at noon.

4. Add enough fertilizer

1. First prepare the materials needed for grafting: several different varieties of Desert Rose, a sharp knife, plastic film, and rubber bands.

2. Grafting can be done by flat grafting method at a temperature above 20°C. The scion should be slightly thinner than the rootstock, and a scion with a terminal bud can be selected. During grafting, mucus will appear on the wound of the branch. You can soak the lower end of the branch in clean water for a few minutes to increase the grafting adhesion rate.

3. After grafting, cover the interface with a plastic bag and tie it up, then place it in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. The wound will basically heal in 7-10 days. When new sprouts appear, open the plastic bag.
