Differences between Indian rubber tree and Indian rubber fig

1. Differences in tree trunks

The Indian rubber tree is tall, up to 30 meters tall. Its trunk contains a large amount of latex, and its roots are well-developed and twisted, with an umbrella-shaped crown on the trunk.

The height of the Indian rubber fig tree is 20 to 45 meters. Its surface is relatively smooth with few lines and is grayish white in color. The crown on the top of the trunk is majestic.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the Indian rubber tree are leathery and heavy in texture. The leaves are large and thick, and seem to be covered with a membranous substance with a slight reddish color.

Compared with the former, the leaves of the Indian rubber fig are smaller and rounder, oval in shape, 8 to 30 cm long and 7 to 9 cm wide. The edges of the leaves are relatively smooth, dark green in color, and have a small tip at the top.
