1. Differences in stems

The stems of glass jade are relatively upright, light red or green in color, unbranched or branched, with sparse soft hairs or no hair at the branch ends. The stem of jade plant is fleshy and thick, and the bark is grayish white and lighter in color. Many branches, glabrous.

2. Difference of blades

The leaves of glass jade are alternate or arranged in a spiral at the top. They are broadly elliptical or ovate to oblong-elliptical, about 4-12 cm long and 2.5-5.5 cm wide. The leaves have serrated edges, are glabrous, and are green in color. The leaves of the jade plant are fleshy, oval in shape, and relatively small, about 4 cm long and 3 cm wide. Nearly entire, grey-green in colour.

3. The difference between flowers

Glass jade flowers vary in color and size, including deep red, purple, bright red, pink, lavender, bluish purple or white. The flowering period is from June to October. The flowers of the jade tree are white or light pink, and bloom in late spring and early summer.
