The stem is green, cylindrical, and has dense, short hairs. 2. BladesThe leaves of Bear's Paw are oblanceolate to oblong, flat spoon-shaped, relatively thick, and arranged alternately. They are about 2.3-6.5 cm long and 1.5-3.5 cm wide. The surface is green and covered with very fine white short hairs. There is a notch on the top of the leaf, and the front 1/3 has red claw-like serrations, which look very much like a bear's paw. 3. FlowersBear's Paw has a dichotomous cyme inflorescence, red pedicels, green sepals, orange-red corolla, and a flower tube about 15 mm long and 9 mm wide. The petals are yellow and curled outward, and the anthers are also yellow and flat in shape. The flowering period is from July to September. |
