Does aloe vera really die after flowering?

Does aloe vera really die after flowering?

1. Will I die?

There is indeed a saying about what happens to aloe after it blooms that it will die. Moreover, many people also report that the aloe vera in their homes dies after flowering. However, this is not necessarily going to happen. Most aloe vera plants do not die after flowering, they just consume a lot of nutrients. If you take good care of it after it blooms, it will not die.

2. How to care for the plant after it blooms

(1) Suitable temperature: Practice has shown that the probability of aloe vera blooming in tropical areas is much higher than that in temperate areas. Therefore, the normal growth of aloe vera is inseparable from suitable temperature. This is especially true for plants after they have flowered. Be sure to maintain a suitable temperature, around 15 or 20 degrees, to prevent it from dying due to an unsuitable environment.

(2) Adequate nutrition: After aloe vera blooms, it consumes a lot of nutrients. If it is not replenished after flowering, it may be one of the important reasons for the death of aloe vera. It is best to add some fertilizers artificially, such as chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, etc. But don't use too much, otherwise the effect will be bad.

(3) Adequate light: After the flowers bloom, the plants should be exposed to more sunlight. It can't be too strong light, just scattered light will be fine. The light exposure time can be appropriately longer. Doing this can help the plant accumulate some nutrients.
