After seeing the beautiful pictures, let’s learn how to care for lisianthus with Huahua!

Daily maintenance

1. Soil

Lisianthus likes loose, breathable and nutrient-rich soil. Flower lovers can mix 5 parts of garden soil with 4 parts of coconut bricks and add one part of organic fertilizer.

2. Flower Pots

The roots of lisianthus are relatively straight and long like its pedicels, so it is best to choose a deeper flowerpot.

3. Watering

Watering is carried out according to the dryness and wetness of the potting soil. The recommended watering method is the immersion method.

4. Lighting

Lisianthus loves sunlight very much, and weather of over 30 degrees will not have much impact on it, so there is no need to worry that the strong sun in summer will affect the growth of lisianthus.

5. Prune after flowering

After the lisianthus blooms, cut off the flower stalks. This can stimulate the formation of bottom buds. After the bottom buds have fully grown out, the old branches can be cut off.

Cuttings

1. Cut off the flowering lisianthus branches and cut them diagonally into small sections, leaving two leaves on each section. It is best to cut off half of the leaves.

2. The medium for cuttings should be a mixture of half coconut coir and general nutrient soil. When grafting, first use a chopstick to poke a hole in the soil, then insert the branch, and finally cover it with soil and water it thoroughly.

3. Put it in a transparent plastic bag, poke a few holes in it, and place it in a bright and ventilated place. It will take about 10 days to take root.

4. Wait until the lisianthus grows the second pair of new leaves before you can plant it in a pot. Place it in a cool place for maintenance and then take it out to see the sun after a week.

5. Don’t throw away the cut flowers. Trim them and put them in a vase. They can bloom for several days!

It will look better if you put lisianthus of different colors together!
