When is bayberry ripe?

1. Maturity time

The earliest bayberries ripen at the end of May. The ripening time is different in different regions. In areas with higher temperatures, it matures earlier, gradually maturing at the end of May; in areas with lower temperatures and higher altitudes, it matures later, around July. You can choose bayberries at different maturity stages at different times, so that they can be eaten for a longer period of time.

2. Time to market

Bayberry is put on the market around April. Since the market period is about one month earlier than the maturity period, the bayberry sold at the beginning is not sweet enough and has a poorer taste compared to the mature period. It is best to buy bayberry after May, as it will have a better taste.
