Petunia

Some friends who raised petunias found that since they started raising petunias, the small black flies around other flowers have disappeared! If you look closely, you will see that they are all stuck to the petunia!

There are many tiny hairs on the branches of petunias, and they can secrete mucus. Experienced friends must know that petunias feel sticky to the touch, and it is because of this that petunias can stick to small black flies.

Verbena

Verbena also has this effect. Similar to petunia, there are a lot of hairs on the branches and leaves of verbena. Once the black flies get stuck, it is difficult for them to escape.

When black flies stick to the branches of petunias and petunias, they need to be cleaned up immediately, otherwise the corpses of the black flies may cause damage to the flowers over time.

However, relying solely on petunias and petunias to control black flies is far from enough. Today, Huahua has specially compiled some little tricks for everyone, so hurry up and learn from Huahua!

Lure and kill method

The black flies tend to be attracted to yellow, so we can use the yellow objects around us to make a magic weapon to catch and kill the black flies.

Cooking oil lure

1. Prepare a bowl of cooking oil and a yellow plastic plate.

2. Pour cooking oil evenly on a plastic plate and place it next to the flower pot. The next day you will find that there are a lot of small black flies stuck on the plastic plate.

Cleaning agent capture

1. Prepare a large yellow basin, pour some clean water into it, add an appropriate amount of laundry detergent or dishwashing liquid, and stir evenly. Place the flower pot in a small pot and then place it in the yellow pot.

2. The next day you will find that the water is full of small black flies.

Yellow sticky board lure

1. If you find the above two methods troublesome, you can directly buy a yellow sticky board and place it around the flowers.

2. After a day or two, the sticky board will be covered with small black flies.

Potion Hunt

In most cases, the luring method can only kill most of the small black flies, but it cannot completely eradicate them. To completely kill the black flies, you still need to use certain medicines.

Olive Chrysanthemum Water

1. Prepare 500 ml of clean water, spray the water with the insecticide ten times, and shake well. Then spray it on the soil surface, the outer wall of the flower pot and the tray, once every 3-5 days.

2. Do not spray on the plants. If you are worried that spraying into the soil will affect the plants, you can just spray in the tray, but increase the dosage.

sulfur

1. Adding a small amount of sulfur powder into the soil can inhibit black flies from laying eggs in the soil. However, sulfur powder is somewhat harmful, so you should wear gloves when using it.

2. If you don’t have sulfur powder at home, you can use sulfur soap instead. Cut off a small piece of sulfur soap, add water, and pour it into the flower soil. However, sulfur soap is alkaline, so do not use it frequently.
