Violet cultivation methods and precautions

Violet cultivation methods and precautions

1. Soil

The soil requirements for growing violets are not very high, but it is best to choose neutral to alkaline soil, which is conducive to its growth, and try to choose soil with good drainage.

2. Lighting

It needs a certain amount of light, but it doesn't need to be too strong. Too strong direct sunlight in summer will affect its growth. The light must be appropriate. Generally, when it exceeds 75,000 lux, it is necessary to move the plant or provide appropriate shade.

3. Temperature

The suitable temperature for growing violets is 15-18℃.

4. Watering

Watering is a very important step. In the spring and summer when the temperature is high, you can water more appropriately. However, in the autumn and winter when the temperature is lower, watering should be reduced appropriately. The amount of watering should not be too much or too little.

5. Fertilization

During its peak growth period, you can use light fertilizer and apply compound fertilizer once every 10 days or so. Do not apply too much or too little fertilizer. Improper fertilization will greatly affect its normal growth.

6. Notes

1. Flower pot selection: The flower pot should be selected according to the size of the violet. Because its roots are relatively small, the flower pot should not be too large when planting for the first time.

2. Pay attention to diseases and pests: During the breeding process, it is easy to be attacked by root rot, aphids, mites, etc., so the substrate should be disinfected before planting, and attention should be paid to ventilation. When diseases and pests are found, spray pesticides in time to eliminate them.
