Creating a Succulent Flower Bed

I have been raising succulents for more than 4 years. I usually involve my husband and mother in taking care of them. From their point of view, the biggest experience is that the babies are very sad!

Not long after I met my husband, I asked him to work as a laborer to build the garden. This is the semicircular flower bed that was just renovated in 2016. It’s not very interesting when it was just planted.

After half a year of repairs and some new varieties, the flower bed looked like this about half a year later.

In 2017, the semicircular flower bed that was bare at that time became full. I would like to thank my husband for his hard work.

It exploded in 2017. The All Purpose Green occupied most of the flower beds, and the Magician had grown into a tree... At this time, I had a bold idea!

In order to balance the diversity of species in the flower bed, I asked my husband to remove the potting grass that took up too much space, leaving only one or two of each succulent plant, and added other flowers and plants.

On April 17, 2018, the weather was very good and I took a picture. Many succulents had turned into old stumps, and the newly added petunias had also bloomed. The flower bed had turned into a forest!

Put a little bird ornament on it, and it looks like a blockbuster movie: Welcome to visit my succulent forest~

Pots and pans

As the succulents grow more and more, buying soil and flower pots has become my daily routine. Of course, my husband is the one who moves them around. It's really hard.

There are really a lot of flower pots. This is a corner of the rooftop that I took a few days ago.

The rusty iron frame in the picture below is an abandoned swing. It is very suitable for placing succulents.

The indoor and shoe cabinets can not be left out, one pot after another is quickly placed. My husband said: Growing succulents is too tiring.

The north-facing balcony should also be used, and some shade-loving green plants are planted (in the picture: spider plants, ivy, green radish, alum root, fragrant wood...)

This pot was completed when I participated in a flower club in 2016. I won the first place in the vote and took it home. It shows that I was still a naive succulent lover two years ago.

I found a stone with grooves, planted a few moonflowers, and placed a small snail decoration that I bought for 1 yuan. It's so cute.

In 2017, I made a DIY succulent bonsai using tree bark as a flowerpot. I asked my husband to pick up the moss from outside. My arranging skills are getting better and better.

Here is another work, this one was made by my husband. Although I am a meat lover, it is still not as good-looking as mine.

Succulent flower chair

I saw a picture of this kind of chair made into a succulent rack on the Internet before, and I really liked it, so I started to want to DIY a succulent chair

Haha, I finally found a broken chair. It's so shabby that it's a perfect way to make use of it as a flower vase. Thumbs up for myself

My husband was not at home for something, so I asked my mother to help me. Thank you, mom. I cleaned the succulents out of the flowerpots. Mom took down the broken wire mesh of the chair and tied the nylon mesh again.

After tying the nylon net, spread a layer of moss. This time the moss was also dug from outside. It was piled up in small pieces, mixed with ordinary flower soil in the middle, and stacked thicker. The succulents will be planted directly later.

After the moss base was ready, I couldn't wait to plant the succulents in it. The chair back felt a bit empty, so I simply tied nylon thread and planted the succulents ~ It looks a bit wilted, but I hope it will be successful.

After more than a week, I looked very energetic and felt a great sense of accomplishment. Although it was raining, I still took a photo excitedly.

It's like this now. Succulents grow fast in spring and many of them are blooming.

Let me talk about my mood. I just feel that life is beautiful. People who love and grow flowers may have this feeling. Also, my hands-on ability has become super strong. I can be a female man in a minute. Of course, I have to thank my mother and husband.
