Will the aquarium plants freeze to death in winter?

Will I freeze to death?

Just now I saw some friends reply: It would be a disaster if you don’t freeze to death. That’s right, even if you don’t freeze to death, you will get frostbite. But this also depends on the type of aquatic plants and the maintenance environment.

They are generally maintained indoors. The indoor temperature in the north is above 18 degrees, which is no problem for them. However, some are raised in offices. As we all know, the air conditioner is on in the office during the day and it is very warm. There is no heating measure at night and the temperature is extremely low, which is very unfavorable for the survival of aquatic plants. The overall temperature in the south is not as low as that in the north, so some aquatic plants can still survive the winter.

How to maintain in winter

During the day, you can put it on a windowsill where the light is better. It will be warmer with the sunlight. At night in the north, you should move it to the living room or other places. At night, there is no sunlight on the windowsill, and the temperature will still be very low even if the room is heated.

If it is not possible to move it to a windowsill or it is away from a warmer place, you need to use heating facilities.

Which species is more cold-resistant?

Vallisneria: Also known as dragon's beard grass, pole grass, etc. It has strong cold resistance and can adapt to different environments, but it does not like an environment with too high temperature.

Water fig: It also has a strong ability to adapt to the environment and is very easy to cultivate. It can be maintained normally at temperatures above 5 degrees in winter, but if the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, it will endanger the health of the plant.
