Cultivation methods and precautions of sea dianthus

Cultivation methods and precautions of sea dianthus

1. Breeding methods

1. Soil

If you want to grow it in a pot, you have to choose good potting soil for planting. Generally, loose and well-drained soil is chosen, which is more suitable for its growth. But if you want to plant on a large area, it is best to choose a place that is higher, drier and well-drained, and the soil should preferably be leaf mold rich in organic matter.

2. Temperature and light

If you want it to grow well, you need to control the temperature and light. Generally, it can grow well at a temperature of 15 to 25 degrees. In addition, lighting conditions are also very important. There must be sufficient light during its growth process because it is very light-loving, and only sufficient light can make it grow better.

But although it likes light, you can't have too much. For example, when we encounter hot weather in summer, the light is relatively strong, so we need to give it proper shade, otherwise it will get sunburned. Generally, you should move it under the shade of a tree and spray water on its leaves to lower the temperature.

3. Fertilizer and water management

It does not require a lot of fertilizer and only needs a small amount. Generally, it only needs to be fertilized once every 2 to 3 weeks. When watering, it also needs to be moderate. We can determine the amount of water according to the weather conditions, so that we can keep it well.

2. Precautions

It is more susceptible to some diseases, the most important of which is rust, so special attention should be paid when breeding it. When this disease first occurs, blister-like spots will appear on the leaves and stems of the plant. After a period of time, the plant's epidermis will begin to crack. After cracking, yellow powder will be released, and sometimes the entire leaf will turn yellow. In the later stages, the damage will be even greater.

Prevention and control methods: First of all, we can give it more ventilation, weed frequently, and fertilize reasonably, but not too much nitrogen fertilizer. Secondly, you can remove and burn all the diseased plants in late autumn or early spring.
