Is it easy for daffodils to survive in winter?

Are plants easy to keep alive in winter?

To answer this question, of course, we must first look at its cold resistance. In fact, it has good cold resistance, so it has a nice nickname called "flower in the snow". So, we’ve passed the temperature test. However, safe wintering is not just about temperature, there are other aspects that need attention. Its good cold resistance may prevent it from being frostbitten, but if other factors are not paid attention to, the plant will still not be easy to survive. So, what else should we pay attention to?

Specific wintering methods

Temperature: Although the plant is relatively cold-resistant, it does not mean that unlimited temperature drops will have no effect on it. In fact, there is a limit, which is minus three degrees. If it is lower, the plants will still be harmed. So, it’s best to move it indoors for the winter. It grows best in temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius, so it will grow better in a warm room.

Sunlight: Whenever it comes to overwintering plants, sunlight always plays a big role. Therefore, in winter we should place it in a sunny place, such as a balcony, windowsill, etc.

Ventilation: This is also very important. In addition to helping the plant survive the winter, another reason is that this plant is poisonous. But don't worry too much. If the ventilation is good, the plants will not cause harm to the human body, but you must be careful when touching the plants.

Water quality: A large part of the nutrition of this plant comes from water, so you must pay more attention to the water quality. Generally speaking, the water should be changed regularly, preferably every three days or so. In addition, the water should not be ice cold, warmer water is more appropriate.
