Cultivation methods and precautions of flying feather arrowroot

Cultivation methods and precautions of flying feather arrowroot

Plant characteristics

First of all, the flying feather calathea likes mild sunlight, that is, it cannot be without light, and naturally it cannot be too strong. In addition, it has high temperature requirements and is not resistant to high temperatures or cold. Additionally, it does require fertilizer, but not a lot.

Specific methods

illumination:

Almost every plant needs some sunlight to grow, and this plant is no exception. If there is no light or too little light, the leaves of the plant may become very thin and gradually become dull, losing its original beauty and its ornamental value. So, we should give it some sunlight appropriately, but not without restraint. For example, at noon in summer, needless to say, we all know that this is definitely not a suitable time. However, given that the sunlight in winter is not very strong and considering that the winter is still to come, it is okay to give more in winter.

temperature:

The suitable temperature for plant growth during the day is 22 to 28 degrees Celsius, but it is different at night, which is 18 to 2 degrees. Because it is very sensitive to temperature, it is likely to be harmed once the temperature rises above 32 degrees in summer. Also, it cannot overwinter outdoors in the winter. Therefore, this requires us to pay attention to it in both summer and winter. It is best to put it indoors for the winter and take appropriate cooling and warming measures.

fertilizer:

The treatment in spring and autumn is basically the same. It is sufficient to apply fertilizer once a month. We generally choose dilute liquid fertilizer. Basically no fertilizer is needed in winter and summer.

soil:

The requirements for this for the arrowroot plant are not very high, but a loose plant with good air permeability will be beneficial to the plant.
