How to plant lucky clover seeds

How to plant lucky clover seeds

1. Select seeds

If you want to ensure the germination rate of clover, it is very necessary to choose good seeds. The appearance of the seeds should be clean, and the grains should be full without any empty grains. Soak the seeds in water, add a small amount of ammonium molybdate, soak for 12 hours, take them out and store them in fine soil.

2. Sowing time

Clover is usually sown in spring or autumn, when the temperature is more suitable for its growth. Spring sowing usually takes place in March and April, and sowing can be done when the temperature is above 15℃. The autumn sowing time should be earlier, in August or September. Sowing too late will affect its wintering.

3. Pot soil preparation

Clover grows best in clay and prefers an acidic environment. However, it does not have high requirements for soil and can grow in sandy soil, but it is not tolerant to saline-alkali soil. It is necessary to use leaf mold and add a small amount of mountain mud, which will be more helpful for its growth.

4. Sowing Method

After preparing the potting soil, place the seeds on the surface of the potting soil and cover them with a layer of fine soil. Do not plant the seeds too deep as this will prevent them from germinating. After sowing, water it thoroughly and place it in a ventilated place. It usually germinates in about 5 days. When it grows to 10 cm, it needs to be sprayed with water to maintain a high air humidity.
