Single-winged Begonia

The leaves that wrap the fruit are very large and shaped like an elongated circle, with a length of approximately 15 mm to 17 mm, the widest part is 6 mm to 7 mm, and the top is slightly pointed; its flowering period is September and its fruiting period is October; its origin is Gansu, Yunnan and other places; its growth environment is a relatively humid place deep in the forest at an altitude of 2,200 meters.

Begonia chinensis

It is a variant of Begonia villosa, and the plant can grow up to 70 cm in height, generally between 20 cm and 40 cm; it rarely has branches, and the entire appearance is like a pyramid with a pointed top; its flowers are very small; its origin is Hubei, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan (eastern), Shaanxi, Gansu (southern), Shanxi, Henan, Shandong, Hebei and other places, and it is now planted in Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Kunming and other places; it mainly grows on high altitude, humid and dark hillsides.

Begonia spicata

Its name is the best feature to identify the plant. The surface of the leaves is covered with very fine prickles and long hairs. The length of the prickles is about 0.3 mm, and the length of the long hairs is about 0.8 mm to 0.9 mm. The origin is Sichuan, Hubei and other places. It grows in a dark and humid environment at an altitude of 1,200 meters.

The surface of the leaves is covered with relatively soft fine hairs; its origin is Sichuan; it grows in a dark and humid environment at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters.
