The leaves of the broad-leaf variety of Photinia are oval or long obovate, with sharper leaves at the top and more rounded and blunt leaves at the bottom, and have serrations. It blooms in April every year and is mainly produced in the east coast of Taiwan.

Photinia fraseri var.narrowleaf

The leaves of the narrow-leaf variety of Photinia are obovate-lanceolate, while others are spoon-shaped-oblanceolate. They are approximately 6 to 10 cm long and 2 to 3 cm wide. The top is relatively rounded and blunt, and the bottom gradually becomes narrower and has a layer of serrations. The flowering period of the narrow-leaf variety of Photinia is different from that of the above varieties. It blooms in January every year and is also produced in Taiwan.

The small-leafed red-leafed Photinia is a superior and excellent variety, which is mainly used for color block seedlings, hedges, large balls and other shaping types. The small-leafed red-leafed Photinia has a relatively long red leaf period. It is the best ornamental variety of Photinia. Moreover, the small-leafed red-leafed Photinia has a very strong adaptability and is resistant to poor soil, saline-alkali, drought, cold and heat.
