Cyclamen

1How to grow cyclamen in summer

1. In mid-to-late May, the flowering period of cyclamen is over. At this time, you can stop watering and let the soil in the pot dry naturally. After all the leaves have fallen off, place the flowerpot with the bulb in a cool and ventilated place indoors.

2. Generally, bulbs placed in a cool and ventilated place do not need to be watered. When you see that the soil in the pot is very dry, you can add some water along the edge of the pot to make the soil a little moist. Keep the soil in the pot moist but not wet. Remember not to fertilize during the dormant period.

2How to make cyclamen bloom again

When the temperature drops below 20℃, the cyclamen bulbs will naturally wake up, sprout small buds and grow new leaves. You can use the immersion pot method to water the plants so that the stems and leaves can absorb enough water; you can also remove the old leaves, place them under diffuse light, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers at the same time, which will quickly allow the bulbs to bloom again.

lily

1How do lilies survive the summer?

1. If you find that the lilies in your home have begun to bloom, you should cut off the withered flowers and leave the leaves. You can trim them according to the positions shown in the picture.

2. Then water and fertilize so that the lily bulbs can absorb more nutrients through photosynthesis of the leaves, which is conducive to re-flowering. Once the leaves have completely withered, cut off the above-ground parts.

3. After pruning, water it once with 0.3% potassium permanganate solution and place it in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance, such as a well-ventilated north balcony. Keep the soil in the pot moist at ordinary times, and water it slightly when you see the soil is dry.

2How to make lilies bloom again

In the spring of the following year, dig out the bulbs and divide them, leaving those that are plump and healthy, and cut off those that are unhealthy. Then wait for the wounds to dry, and then replant them in the pots. After that, water them thoroughly and place them under scattered light for a week. After that, just ensure that there is sufficient light.

Ranunculus

1How Ranunculus survives the summer

After blooming, ranunculus gradually enters a dormant period. If handled properly during this period, it can bloom again in autumn.

1. After the flowers fade, the remaining flowers and stems should be cut off in time, and all the stems and leaves above the ground should also be cut off. Then, use 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution to irrigate the roots to prepare for the summer. After all the stems and leaves have withered, the anemone enters a dormant period. Move the flowerpot to a cool and ventilated place.

2. Stop fertilizing and watering, and wait until a sunny day, then carefully dig out the tubers, clean the soil on the surface, cut off the diseased and damaged tubers, rinse them with clean water, soak them in a solution of carbendazim for 2-3 minutes, and then place them in a cool place to dry.

3. Put the tubers of Anemone in a bamboo basket, a perforated cardboard box or a ventilated container, add a layer of waterproof paper inside, but the thickness should not exceed 20cm, and store it in a cool and dry place.

2. Germination method of Ranunculus

1. Next spring, prepare something like a plastic bottle, and spread a 1-2 cm thick layer of perlite or sand on the bottom of the container. Then place the anemone's claws facing down on the perlite, and then spread another layer of perlite until the anemone is completely covered and you can't see the light outside. Then use a spray bottle to spray water so that the perlite and the anemone can come into contact with moisture.

2. Place the plastic bottle in the refrigerator at a temperature of about 5°, and allow the anemone to absorb water in a humid environment for three days. If the perlite is too dry, spray more water.

3. In about 7 days, the bulb will grow a central bud and white roots and can be transplanted. The white roots should not exceed 1cm, otherwise it will not be easy to survive after transplanting.

tulip

1How Tulips Spend the Summer

After removing the withered flowers, gradually reduce the amount of watering for the tulips until all the leaves turn yellow naturally. Remove the yellow leaves, then dig out the bulbs, soak them in carbendazim for disinfection, and then store them in sand.

Spread the sterilized fine sand into a cushion layer of about 10 cm, then place the tulip tubers on it, then cover it with about 5 cm of dry fine sand, and then put in the bulbs, stacking them layer by layer so that the tulip bulbs can be evenly buried in the fine sand for storage.

3. After burying the bulbs, you need to use a watering can to spray water on the sand to keep the sand slightly moist. No fertilizer is needed.

2How to make tulips bloom again

Dig out the bulbs stored in sand and replant them in pots. They will soon sprout and bloom again.
