The difference between coral and swell coral

The difference between coral and swell coral

Morphological characteristics

Characteristics of coral

Coral reef is a shrub-like plant. Its stems are generally round, 0.5-1.5cm in diameter, and emerald green in color. The whole plant grows slender and straight.

The flowers are yellow and bloom in midsummer, so the flowering period is in summer.

Characteristics of bulging coral

Compared with the super coral, the overall plant shape of the expansive coral is more slender and light green in color. There are black spots growing on the stems of the plants, which look so tender that it seems that water can be squeezed out of them.

Growth habit

Growth habits of coral

Coral is a plant that likes sunlight and avoids excessive exposure to the sun.

Therefore, when raising it, you can place it in front of a window, balcony or other places with bright scattered light.

During the summer dormancy period, you should reduce watering and pay attention to shading. When watering during the spring and autumn growing season, wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering, and make sure to water the soil thoroughly.

Growth habits of swell coral

The expansive coral prefers a warm, dry and sunny growing environment. It is resistant to drought and semi-shady environments, but not cold-resistant and is afraid of dampness, as such an environment will affect the normal growth of the plant.

The optimum temperature for growth is 15-25℃, and the temperature in winter should not be lower than 10℃.

Family category

Chrysopidae

Coral reef is a plant belonging to the Cactaceae family, and its growth habits have many similarities with cacti.

Pleurocoralidae

The swell coral is a plant of the genus Euphorbia in the Euphorbiaceae family, which is obviously a different category from the chrysanthemum coral.
