Morphological characteristics of kudzu flowersIt is irregularly oblong or slightly flat kidney-shaped, 5 to 15 mm long, 2 to 6 mm wide, and 2 to 3 mm thick. Sepals are gray-green, united at base, 5-lobed at apex, lobes lanceolate, 2 of which are fused, and surface densely covered with yellow-white hairs. There are two needle-shaped bracts at the base. The five petals are equal in length, protruding from the calyx or covered by the calyx, blue-purple in color, and lighter in color, lavender on the outside. The smell is faint and the taste is bland.
