The difference between the Chinese crabapple and the weeping crabapple

Main Differences

1. Judging from the direction of flower growth, the flowers of the Chinese crabapple bloom upwards, while the flowers of the weeping crabapple bloom downwards.

2. From the shape and color of the pedicels, the pedicels of the Chinese crabapple are short and thick, mostly green, while the pedicels of the weeping crabapple are long and thin, mostly purple-red.

3. From the color of the flowers, the color of the crabapple is bright at the beginning of flowering, and then gradually fades, while the color of the weeping crabapple is always rosy and shiny.

Begonia

The Western Crabapple is also known as Crabapple Flower, Talking Flower, and Sea Red. The flowers are large, pointing upwards and full of vitality. At first the color is bright red like fire, and then gradually turns pink. The most easily recognizable feature of the Chinese crabapple tree is its contracted and upward-moving growth, with narrow forks and a thin tree shape being its characteristics. In addition, the crabapple has a faint fragrance, and the flowers are both fragrant and bright, making other flowers feel ashamed.

Weeping Begonia

The weeping crabapple is extremely beautiful, comparable to cherry blossoms, with bright red buds that grow upward. The inflorescence is umbel-shaped racemes, with 4-7 flowers, and slender pedicels that droop when blooming, hence the name weeping crabapple. The branches of the weeping crabapple are spread out and the tree shape is spreading. The flower color changes from red to pink. The crown of the tree is sparse and grows upward, drooping when blooming. The flowers are pink. Its main function is ornamental, but it also has edible value.
