Flowering period and management of rue

Flowering period of rue

The colors of the rueba are bright and varied. The flowers are mostly white with red veins, red halos or red stripes. There are 8 to 10 petals, which grow in a spreading shape.

Its flowering period is between early spring and summer every year. During this period, the flowers bloom at irregular times, but they will always bloom one after another, giving you a feast for the eyes.

Of course, some flowers will continue to bloom in autumn, and the flowering period is quite long!

Management of flowering period

First, fertilization management: During the flowering period, the rueba needs a lot of nutrients to provide the plant with what it needs for growth and flowering;

Therefore, it is necessary to apply fertilizer during the flowering period, and apply enough fertilizer, but not too much.

You can use low-nitrogen fertilizer or organic matter in a nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ratio of 5:10:10 for fertilization.

The second is light management: Lophatherum likes light, especially during the flowering period, it needs to absorb light to promote the flowers to bloom, so make sure there is sufficient light. You can place it on the balcony, but when encountering strong light, be sure to avoid light.

Finally, weed management: weeds will definitely grow during the flowering period, so be aware that weeds will affect the quality and quantity of flowers, so weeds must be removed in a timely manner. You can pull them out by hand or use herbicides, but don't spray the herbicides on the plants.

The Flower Language of Lophatherum

The rueba itself is a romantic fairytale-like flower, because it has rich colors, including red, pink, lavender, white, yellow, etc., and there are stripes on the flowers;

Therefore, the flower language of the beautiful ruebeest symbolizes: beautiful love like a fairy tale!
