illumination

Mauve is a light-loving plant and needs plenty of sunlight when growing. Generally, the light needs of cosmos can be met in spring and autumn, but care should be taken to avoid direct sunlight in the hot summer, and shade should be provided at noon, but not excessively.

temperature

Basically, cosmos can grow well between 10℃ and 30℃. A few points that need to be noted are: the temperature in winter should be kept above 5℃ so that frost damage is not easy to occur; before flowering, the temperature should be kept between 12℃ and 15℃; during daily maintenance, the temperature should be kept at 20℃ or below.

Water and fertilizer

Water and fertilizer are very important for cosmos. When watering, you need to make sure the soil is dry before watering, and then water it sufficiently, but be careful not to overdry it. Fertilization is usually done every 7-10 days, but it needs to be reduced during the low temperature season in winter. Generally, some base fertilizer should be applied first when planting. If the soil fertility is not enough, topdressing will be required.
