Perilla

Perilla porridge made with perilla leaves, rice and brown sugar has the effect of warming the stomach and dispersing cold, and is also effective for patients who are accidentally infected with cold. You can also add MSG, sesame oil, soy sauce and other seasonings to make a cold dish. Eating it can relieve symptoms such as cough, asthma, chills and fever.

Maintenance method:

For home breeding, it is better to choose wrinkled leaf perilla because it has better adaptability. The potting soil is made by mixing 8 parts of cooked garden soil, 1 part of decomposed organic fertilizer, 0.5 parts of compound fertilizer, and a small amount of superphosphate. Sow 1 hole and 3 seeds in each pot, cover with soil after sowing, and water enough for the seedlings to germinate. After the seedlings emerge, place them in a sunny place for maintenance.

When the plant is growing vigorously, keep the soil in the pot moist, be careful not to allow water to accumulate, and apply quick-acting fertilizer 2 to 3 times. As long as the leaves grow to a certain size, they can be picked and eaten at any time, and the tops that have undergone flower bud differentiation can be removed at any time. If it is for viewing, then it is not necessary.
