Purple-edged Jade likes a humid environment. Its growing season is from May to September. It needs to be watered more during the growing season. When the weather is hot, the leaves should be sprayed or watered to maintain a high air humidity and keep the leaves clear patterns and emerald green color.

It requires loose, fertile, well-drained soil, which can be mixed with river sand, mud and leaf mold.

How much temperature does purple-edged jasper need?

Breeding method of purple-edged jasper

Leaf cutting propagation

Between May and June every year, leaf cuttings can be used for propagation. Purple-edged Jade Peppergrass is best planted with whole-leaf cuttings. The cuttings must have a petiole about 1CM long. When cutting, insert it to 1/3 of the leaf. The substrate can be river sand, etc.

Purple-edged jade is relatively easy to survive and can take root in about 15 days. During the growth period, pay attention to keeping the culture medium moist and the environmental humidity at a certain level.

Propagation by division

Propagation by division is carried out in spring and autumn every year. In spring, you can repot the purple-edged jade plant. When repotting, you can directly divide the plants, gently separate the purple-edged jade plants, and then transplant them into the prepared pots.

After transplanting, be sure to keep the soil and surrounding environment moist.
