Cultivation method of potted golden lotusPotted nasturtiums require loose, fertile, and highly permeable culture soil. They like moisture and are afraid of waterlogging. Nasturtium is usually propagated by sowing, but can also be propagated by cuttings of softwood branches. For annual ground planting, it can be sown in the sunny bed in early spring, and transplanted one week after germination. When the seedlings are 10 cm tall, they can be planted in the open field in loose and fertile soil with slight shade. Generally, nasturtiums bloom from June to September until the frost falls. If you want the potted plants to bloom in April or May, you can sow the seeds in the greenhouse in December of the previous year. After sowing, water them thoroughly and place them at a temperature above 20℃ in front of the greenhouse. Seedlings will emerge in about 10 days. Keep the light sufficient. When the plant is 10 cm tall, use fertilized culture soil, add 50 grams of crushed hoof slices as base fertilizer, and change to a two-cylinder pot for maintenance; If you want it to bloom on New Year's Day or the Spring Festival, you can cut 10 cm long young branches for cuttings in August, fill a shallow pot with plain sandy soil, and place it in a cool, ventilated and humid environment. After 15 days of survival, bring the plants indoors in October and switch the pots to the front entrance of the greenhouse. The room temperature should be around 15℃ during the day and 10℃ at night. There should be sufficient light and the temperature should not be too high to prevent excessive growth. Water thoroughly once when repotting, and add water when loosening the soil later to keep the soil moist, and do not allow water to accumulate for too long. Chemical fertilizer solution and organic fertilizer water can be applied alternately once every 10 days; Potted nasturtiums that need to bloom in autumn from September to October can be sown in early June. During the hot summer period, they must be placed in a shady, ventilated and cool environment. They will grow vigorously in the cool autumn and have lush flowers and leaves.
