What to do if mirror grass has insects

What to do if mirror grass has insects

1. Aphids

It reproduces very quickly, and if you don't pay attention, it can easily break out on a large scale, so it must be dealt with in a timely manner. When the insects first appear, there are few of them. You can use a brush dipped in clean water to brush the insects off and kill them all. When the number is large, you should spray it with 40% emulsion, and use it 3 or 4 times.

2. Scale Insects

This type of insect is relatively small and will also attack the leaves of mirror grass, causing the leaves to turn yellow and reducing its ornamental value. Similarly, when the amount is small, it should be removed manually, and when the amount is large, it should be sprayed with 40% concentration of omethoate. Or you can mix white wine with water and use it to kill scale insects.

3. Red spider

A poorly ventilated environment will lead to the appearance of red spider mites, which will absorb nutrients from the leaves. Once discovered, clean them up with omethoate and dicofol emulsifiable concentrate, spray them once every 5-7 days, and use it 2-3 times, and the insects will be basically eliminated.

4. Blowing cotton scale

When it occurs, the amount will be large, and the leaves of the plant will turn yellow and wither. Check it at all times, and cut off the diseased leaves immediately if you find insect eggs. If there are a lot of insects, it is recommended to use omethoate or carbofuran to spray and kill them. You can also use laundry detergent diluted with water.
