How to grow night-blooming jasmine at home

soil

Night-blooming primrose likes moist and fertile soil, so remember not to let the soil become too dry when growing it! It is best to use mountain soil for potted plants. Remember not to use calcareous soil. The soil must be acidic. If conditions permit, you can test the pH value of the soil. A pH range of 5.5 to 8.5 is best. Of course, if you don’t want to bother testing the pH value. The editor has another little trick! That is to use 6 parts of garden soil, 4 parts of river sand, and then add half a tablespoon of alum to mix, and you're done!

illumination

Night-blooming primrose is relatively shade-tolerant, so don’t expose it to scorching sunlight, but don’t deprive it of sunlight either! It is still necessary to let the night-blooming cereus receive mild sunlight, as it also needs photosynthesis!

Air

Most wild night-blooming primroses grow in evergreen broad-leaved forests at an altitude of 600 to 900 meters and have poor resistance to toxic gases. So pay attention to the degree of air pollution. If the pollution is too serious, there is nothing the editor can do!

temperature

The suitable temperature during the flowering period is 22-25℃. Flowering will be delayed if the temperature is below 20℃, so if you want the night-blooming jasmine to bloom normally, you must pay attention to the temperature!

Precautions for cultivating night primrose

summer

Be sure to provide shade for the night-blooming primrose when the sun is shining brightly, otherwise it will be killed by the scorching summer sun!

winter

The temperature in winter cannot be lower than 5 degrees, otherwise there is a risk of freezing to death!
