1. Papaya Begonia

2. Peony

Peony is a small shrub that is shade-tolerant and cold-resistant, making it suitable for cultivation in the courtyard. It does not have high requirements for the environment during its growth period, but if the soil is loose, fertile, and has good drainage, it will be more conducive to its growth and will grow more vigorously. During the bud formation period, it is recommended to apply fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium elements to promote better flowering.

3. Spiraea

Spiraea is a kind of cold-resistant shrub that likes light and has strong shade tolerance. It prefers a warm and humid climate environment. Judging from its growth habits, it can grow vigorously when cultivated in the courtyard and can also bloom as scheduled.

4. Bauhinia

Bauhinia has a certain degree of cold resistance and prefers a humid environment, but is afraid of waterlogging. Except for the hot summer and cold winter, you can water more often and spray water frequently as long as there is no water accumulation in the soil.

5. Ginkgo Tree

Ginkgo trees are cold-resistant and have a certain degree of shade tolerance, so they can grow vigorously in northern courtyards. Its characteristic is that its leaves turn golden yellow in autumn, and it has a high ornamental value.

6. Yellow Jasmine

The yellow jasmine is an evergreen tree of the Magnoliaceae family and the Magnolia genus. It has upright branches, green leaves, elegant flowers and high ornamental value. Not only that, it is also highly cold-resistant and shade-tolerant and can be grown in the courtyard.

7. Other trees

Other shade-loving and cold-resistant garden trees include osmanthus, poinciana, yew, camellia, magnolia, red maple, etc. These trees are very suitable for planting in the garden.
