Farming soilThe Dutch iron pot can be grown in an equal amount of garden soil, leaf mold and river sand. Dutch iron has strong adaptability and is not very demanding on soil, but it grows best in loose, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It can be cultivated in a mixture of loam with high humus content and river sand under pine and cypress trees, or in a mixture of leaf mold and river sand. HumidityDuring the growing season, just keep the soil in the pot moist, and avoid over-watering, which can cause waterlogging and rot of the roots and stems. During the growing season, a certain air humidity needs to be maintained. For example, when the temperature is 20℃, the humidity can be around 50%. When the temperature is around 30℃, the humidity needs to be adjusted to around 70% to maintain a good growth momentum. Farming fertilizationIt has strong vitality and does not require much fertilizer. It is enough to apply liquid fertilizer 3-2 times a month during the growth period. Aquaculture lightingDutch iron requires plenty of sunlight to grow. Except for the hot summer when it needs appropriate shade, it can grow under full sunlight in other seasons. Breeding temperatureIt likes sun but is also shade-tolerant and can adapt to different light environments. However, it should not be too shaded, otherwise the new leaves will not age easily and will turn yellow, or it may grow too tall, become weak and droop. The growth rate of Dutch iron is average and its temperature requirements are relatively wide. The best growth temperature is between 15-30℃. The temperature should be kept above 2℃ in winter. It is not resistant to severe cold. Disease controlDutch iron is very prone to leaf spot disease under high temperature and high humidity conditions. When it occurs, the leaf edges become black-brown spots. In severe cases, it spreads to most parts of the leaves. It should be prevented and controlled in time. The pesticide should be 800-1000 times of chlorothalonil. |
