The reason why the roots of hydroponic daffodils rot and how to deal with it

The reason why the roots of hydroponic daffodils rot and how to deal with it

1. Causes of root rot

1. Not changing the water for a long time: When growing daffodils in water, you must keep the water clean. If unclean water is provided, or the water is not changed for a long time, there will be a lot of impurities in the water, which will harm the roots, causing the roots of the daffodils to be contaminated and cause root rot.

2. Too much nutrient solution: When hydroponically cultivating daffodils, it is necessary to add an appropriate amount of nutrient solution. However, if too much is added, the roots will not be able to bear it, causing fertilizer damage. If it is not controlled carefully, it will cause root rot.

3. The temperature is too high: Daffodils prefer a cool climate and cannot withstand high temperatures. When the temperature in the growing environment is too high, it can easily cause root rot.

2. How to deal with it

1. Cut off rotten roots: When you find signs of root rot in daffodils, you need to take the plant out of the container, prepare a sharp knife, cut off the rotten roots, leaving only healthy roots, and then place it in a cool place nearby to dry.

2. Re-hydroponics: After the roots are treated, you can re-hydroponically cultivate the plant. The water quality should be good, and you can use tap water that has been dried in the sun.

3. Change water regularly: Pay attention to the later maintenance after hydroponics, change water regularly to keep the water clean, add nutrient solution reasonably, pay attention to the concentration, and keep the surrounding temperature at around 10-15℃.
