How much is the fortune tree?

1. Basic Introduction

Pachira aquatica, also known as the money tree, is a small tree of the Bombacaceae family. Its plant type is generally 4-5 meters tall, and the crown is relatively loose. The leaf shape is oblong to obovate-oblong, and the leaf blade is relatively large. The flowering period is from May to November, the petals are light yellow-green and narrowly lanceolate to linear. It is native to Central America, Mexico, Costa Rica and other places. It is often used for indoor greening decoration in homes, shopping malls, hotels, offices, etc., and has beautiful meanings such as getting rich and longevity.

2. How much does a fortune tree cost?

The price of the money tree is mainly related to factors such as variety, number of plants, size, and regional price levels. Generally speaking, multiple money trees are more expensive than a single one. The price of a single money tree is generally around 100-200 yuan, and multiple money trees are about 200-400 yuan. In addition, the thickness of the trunk of the fortune tree is also one of the main factors affecting its price. If the branches of a single plant are much thicker than those of multiple plants, its price will be higher, possibly more than five hundred yuan. If multiple plants tied together are not as thick as a single plant, the price will be lower than that of a single plant.

3. Growth habits

It is suitable for growing in a hot and humid environment and has poor cold resistance. Its seedlings are afraid of frost, but adult trees can tolerate temperatures as low as 5-6°C. They can overwinter in the open in southern China, but must be moved indoors in northern regions to protect them from the cold. The money tree prefers fertile, loose, breathable and water-retaining acidic sandy loam, and avoids alkaline soil or heavy clay soil.
