How to divide the Chinese lucky charm

How to divide the Chinese lucky charm

Time for division of Hongyun Dangtou

The lucky pineapple is commonly cultivated in varieties such as Dahong, Fenhong, Golden Yellow, and Meihong. It is generally best to divide it in April in spring, because it is also necessary to change the pot at this time, and the temperature is very suitable, stable between 20 and 25 degrees. After division, the plants can adapt to the environment as soon as possible and grow better.

Method of propagation of Chinese Fortune Plant by division

After the flowers of the lucky charm plant fade, you can cut off the flower pavilion to allow new buds to sprout from the roots. After 3-5 buds grow and the suckers below grow 3-4 leaves, you can peel it off the mother plant and replant it in the flowerpot to turn it into a new plant.

Steps for dividing the Hongyun Dangtou

Pour the lucky bamboo shoots out of the flowerpot, then remove the large clumps of soil that can be separated, and clean the roots of the lucky bamboo shoots, mainly flushing the soil on the main roots, so that it will be easier to divide them later.

Comb out the tangled roots and divide them into several plants according to the strength of their growth. Use a sharp knife to cut the upper part, making the incision small. Be careful not to damage the main root. After the wound is dry, you can plant it in the soil.

Just bought the division of Hongyun Dangtou

1. After the division of the newly purchased Lucky Plant, the plant needs to be properly pruned. Old and yellow leaves can be cut off to reduce water evaporation.

2. The lucky charm plant likes a humid environment, so be sure to water it thoroughly after planting to ensure the moistness of the potting soil. Three days after transplanting, you can use diluted carbendazim to water it.

3. After the lucky charm plant is divided, it is best to place it in a cool place for the first week and avoid direct sunlight, but be sure to ensure scattered light. The newly divided seedlings do not need to be fertilized and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Try to place it in a semi-shaded and semi-sunny position, and keep the temperature at around 20℃. Generally, new roots will grow 1-2 months after the division.
