How to grow Euphorbia milii in autumn

How to grow Euphorbia milii in autumn

1. Increase lighting

In addition to fertilizing, you can also allow it to increase nutrients through photosynthesis. The autumn sunlight is not strong and the daytime is relatively short, so you can place it in a sunny place to receive sunlight all day.

2. Watering in moderation

It is in its growing period in autumn, and sufficient water supply is conducive to its growth. Watering should follow the principle of "don't water if it's not dry, water thoroughly if it's dry". Observe the condition of the soil before watering. If the soil is completely dry, it means you need to water it. If it is still wet, wait until it dries before watering. Generally speaking, water the plants every three or four days in autumn.

3. Maintain ventilation

Many families in the north start heating as soon as autumn arrives. It is suitable for growing in an environment with good air circulation. If the room is stuffy and closed, its leaves will curl up. So you need to open the windows for ventilation every day.

4. Pruning

It needs to be pruned at the right time when summer and autumn meet. The first thing to do is to cut off the excess branches and leaves. Some branches have too many and too dense branches, which may lead to uneven nutrient supply, so they need to be cut off. Secondly, you need to cut off branches that are not growing well, as these branches will not only compete for nutrients but also affect the ornamental value; finally, you need to cut off rotten and dry branches, as these branches are prone to attracting pests. After pruning, do not water it yet. Wait until the cut is dry before watering.
